Instead of it being hard coded in terms of style I suggest changing it to use a span class of "me". This way if red doesn't look good with a theme it can easily be edited without doing core file edits.

The codes for /me and /slap are currently hardcoded. As there will be no hardcoded HTML in 1.8, you will be able to modify the style
