I am trying to update to the newest version of MyBB and not sure how to uplooad it, and I am also trying to change my theme, I have downloaded the one I want but I dont know how to upload it or anything
You can read this doc for information on upgrading: http://docs.mybb.com/Upgrading.html

To install a theme, upload the theme's folder to ./images - then navigate to AdminCP -> Templates & Style -> Themes -> Import a Theme

Now select the theme's XML file (included in the theme's download), select a name for the theme and check the box 'Ignore Version Compatibility', then click 'Import Theme'. Smile

where would i go in my Cpanel
In cPanel, you should see an icon called "File Manager". This video should give you a bit of guidance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdHTNcamcQ0
which one do you suggest cpanel or the other one '
It depends which one you can get on with. FTP is much easier IMO.

You can download FileZilla here: http://filezilla-project.org/ and there is a tutorial for using it here: http://wiki.filezilla-project.org/FileZi...orial_(en)
it keeps saying it cant connect to the server
That means you've entered the wrong connection information. Please check the host, username and password are correct (check under FTP accounts in cPanel). Smile
