I need some guidance in regards to upgrading to MySQL 5.5 from MySQL 5.0.96 using cPanel.
I've never done a MySQL upgrade and just want to cover all my bases to upgrade without any issues. I am wondering what the proper procedure is? A basic checklist.
-Do I shutdown the board via htaccess?
-If I have a couple InnoDB tables will they cause any problems?
I almost went through with the upgrade but stopped at step 3 "Unattended Upgrade" or "Attended Upgrade" as I didn't know what to expect if I chose the "Unattended ---- Rebuild Apache and PHP automatically with last saved defaults."
I'm sure I am over-thinking this as I tend to do a lot but oh well.
