And can you tell us do you know any MyBB forum which is hacked because this software have some bugs etc?
Most of the time forum is being hacked because hosts are bad, or they have some other scripts on their hosts which causes hacking.
MyBB 2.0 will be released when it's ready.
MyBB 1.8 will be released when it's ready.
We haven't received any reports about security issues or vulnerabilities. Until we do we cannot assume there is, or do anything about it.
2.0 will not be ready any time soon, ur gonna see 1.6.9 most likely possibly even see 1.7 then 1.8 then 1.9 to 2.0
they keep on adding and changing and deleting uneeded features, they are really working to make 2.0 different from 1.6 series.
pretty much 2.0 is gonna be good and will most likely put invision power board and vbulletin out of business because the best will be free.
i see many people begging and try to ask the release date and you guys seriously need to stop, one post is enough.
mybb has much work to do because 2.0 is gonna need converters, a newly built upgrade system so 1.6 series can be upgraded.
keep in mind the developers here are vulonteer's so therefore they dont get paid, some developers have actual jobs, school and family crisis's
and dont be so rushy about it because when 2.0 releases keep in mind that the 1.6 plugins will not work on 2.0 so plugins will either need to be reworked. so when 2.0 releases it will take a while for it to actually be useful because plugin/theme developers gotta get to work on things also.
and 1.6 has no security vulnerability's that are known, so if anybody running 1.6 gets hacked its because they did not chmod properly or installed vulnerable plugins or modified parts of the code that made a vulnerability available.

You don't seem to know what you're talking about
. 1.7 is the dev version of 1.8 and I don't see how there will be a public 1.9 because of this.
Yup, certainly won't be a 1.7 or 1.9.
Our plan is maintenance/security fixes to the 1.6 series as necessary, then 1.8 and then 2.0.
We do not have any estimate of timelines at this stage.
We will always let the community know about any updates via our blog - so that's your best bet.

Really? Don't think so. Till they'll release MyBB 2.0, you think IPB/XF/VB will sit in place and watch? They aren't stupid to lose clients that way.
