MyBB Community Forums - Change icons to custom icons

Hello everyone,

I have a question I want to change the forum icons and sub-forum icons to icons I want.

Now I have 2 icon sets (See screenshot)

Now I want to delete the right site images and replace the left side images with the right side on..

So what I mean is, that I have not annymore have 2 icons sets but one and only have the right side images.

I hope everyone knows what I mean and that someone can help me with this.

What you need to do si

Say the ones that are there just now are called A1, A2, A3 ,A4

All you need to do is rename the new ones to the same as the ones on your forum .

Then go to your FTP programme find where the images are in your root menu when you find them all you do is go to the new one on you pc and upload them with your FTP programme and replace them, it will ask if you want to replace them just click ok and that should be you.

Thanks for your answer but this is now what I mean....

The right side icons I have uploaded by my self and with a edit on templates the images showing up on the right side like the image.

But that I want to go deleting and use the pictures on the right then on the left side. The left side pictures are the standard forum icons of my template / forum. (the new post, no new posts, forum closed icons) and this one are not so easy to change.

So how can I use custom forum icons for the forums and subforums to.

What you then want to do is simply follow this:

It gives you the option to create for every folder a:

on, off, offlock custom icon.

Tryed that but not working here, the images will not shows up.... I have put the map in /images and in the images map from my template /images/peace but both not working here.

But another question, is there a way to set one image for each forum not like the mod u send that I need to add a ON, OFF and OFFLOCK image for each forum or sub-forum but I want to select 1 image for each forum and sub-forum. Is there a way to fix that ???

As far as i know there are three ways:

- the mods tutorial (have on , off, onlock icons for all forum ids)
- yaldaram tutorial (have one icon for each forum no on , off, onlock)
- plugin ( should be one not sure how it works though).

Also to answer your question why it doesnt work:

/ficon

You need to create a folder called ficon inside of your themes ! image folder.

{$theme['imgdir']}/ficon

Like i said follow yaldarams tutorial, and read page one and two that explains it perfectly how to set 1 icon per forum id and remove the on, off, onlock icon row.

Sorry but there is no tutorial to find from yaldaram for what I ask. The only tutorial what he have about icons is this one http://community.mybb.com/thread-92128.html And that tutorial I have now and thats not the place I want to have the icons. I want to have custom icons where now the ON OFF OFFLOCK images are...... And only one image and not to need to select 3 image on every forum..
