Hi, I have searched high and low and cannot find what I need, I wonder if anyone can help with a simple fix or plugin?
All I want to do is place a banner ad on my index page between two forum categories. See pic. How can I do this please?

Thanks very much for your help. I'm not completelty hopeless at this stuff but it is getting a bit technical already.
So, I need to install the plug in that allows me to use php code in templates and then put in some conditional code so that if the forum id equals the forum I want to put the html after then it displays the html?
Is that more or less right and can you give me any more pointers?

You'd most likely need a custom advertisement plugin. Jessie Labrocca has one and I am pretty sure there is one located in the mods section of MyBB.
