Here's a preview of the theme in blue:

Forum index page is pretty much complete now:

You can now view a demo of this theme here:

Only the index page is "complete", but keep checking the above link to track the progress Smile
A lot of serious issues:
  • Hover states on non-clickable elements is a no-no
  • Too many boxes everywhere, very distracting
  • Menu totally breaks when the window is too small horizontally
  • Menu links should be blocks so that the entire hover-effect area is clickable
  • Menu active state is the same color as hover state

I'm not really sure where you're going with this theme. I don't think it's a good design.

Well, thanks for the feedback.

Although I personally wouldn't consder most thing on your list as "serious" issues, I appreciate that they are all valid points.

Where am I going with this theme? Well I wanted to try and create as much of a simplistic theme as possible with nothing fancy or complicated. Maybe I tried too hard?

Anyway, I'll lower the priority of this theme's development, but when it finally is complete it will be a free release.
Hey, glad to hear it's going to be free, I think it's more suited there. I also agree with brad's points, my suggestion would be remove some of the boxes and use typography to make them unique instead. For example things like thread and post count don't both need to be in boxes.
Didn't take my hint on * { margin: 0; }, oh well.

I didn't ignore it. I just forgot about it when initially coding it and haven't worked on it for a while. This theme is low priority at the moment.
