Is it just me or does the panel look big bigger then usual, I've tried editing the #panel template and changed the sizing, it doesn't make a difference, I can't think of anything else.

The rest of the forum sizing is completely fine, and changeable.

The code that makes up your panel is a little weird and messy. Can you please post the contents of both your header_welcomeblock_guest and header_welcomeblock_member templates? I can then tell you what to replace them with to change the size of the text.
