What was the site in the first screenshot?
I have been trying to mess around with the table but it is not working.
You would be better off with someone better at styling than me to help you.
So, you have a seen a nice set up on someone's site and you want a copy of it. Why not ask the person whose site it is?
Completely copying that set up is getting a bit close to ripping a theme and I would not be comfortable helping you to do that.
They only really want the nav to be across the top they are not asking for the images and css of that particular theme.
