Is it possible to edit the index.php to forum.php and the portal.php to home.php?

I figured out the portal.php to home.php.
That has nothing to do with his question.
Change your logo's URL to forums.php and find everything about index.php and replace it with forums.php . This can be done in ACP>>Templates and Styles>>Templates>>Your theme. Now search and replace.

I really doubt this will work.
I think ill just leave it the way it is. lol
