How do I remove that space? I want it so the forum gold is directly under the thanks given and then a space with the awards.

There must be a <br /> or a <br> find it and remove in your templates.

Found the solution

ACP->Templates->Global Templates->Edit the newpoints_postbit template and remove the <br /> at the start.
