I have the EU cookie law plugin and when you click disallow cookies you are greeted with this SQL error, any ideas?

Personally I am not familiar with that plugin. Have you tried to post at its support thread?

Yes and it got moved here.

There was another user had a similar issue with that plugin - everyone else was using it fine. IIRC it only happened on his index page.

Try looking for threads here on MyBB about the cookie law.
