You really need that many tabs? You shouldn't even use tabs regardless, but that many is just ridiculous.

Yeah I like the tabs blends in well with the skin and helps members who are new to forums navigate through the site.

Keeps the forum looking tidy and helps members who don't know about forums navigate through it easier !

they don't make navigation easier, they obscure content behind invisible walls

Scrolling is easier than clicking. "The fold" is mostly a myth.
