Okay, firstly I admit that I'm such a newb at this. I understand HTML and CSS well, well enough that I can do a lot of customization, but I wanted to add a template so that editing site-wide information would be easier instead of (in the specific case of this skin) editing the index page, forum display, new reply, etc.
The HTML code works fine, it's just that when I put it in the template I made {$block1} and put that in place of the original HTML code, it doesn't show up. It doesn't mess with the formatting in any way, it's just as if nothing is there. There's no kind of error message any where and as I said, it doesn't disturb the appearance or formatting.
I'm sure that whatever this is is probably easy enough to figure out, I'm just still very new to myBB.
