You need to enable use quick reply on the forums. Go to ACP.

set to YES
There is no "spinner" on the index page. it is not supposed to be there.

ok that works but i have seen other forums where the spinner shows all the time
And it works, case closed. The "spinner" is to show that an Ajax action is happening - it will only show on Ajax things. Redirect pages are not Ajax.

It is only showing on quick reply I have seen it work on all relpies . so it is not closed.
this issue is not closed it is still showing the same message on new replies.
What message? The redirect? Check your settings that you have quick reply enabled - in your UserCP.

even on default theme spinner is not showing up on replies, not just what you want it to work on "quick reply"
