just wondering if theres any plugins for doing a prize giveaway.

just an easier way of gathering all entries and selecting one.

or any tips for doing one?

I use the Newpoints lottery system on my forum. I have it set up so users get points for posting and can use their points to buy lottery tickets. You can set the length of the contest and the winner is randomly selected.
