I am not exactly sure what happened.

Since I used fidelity media for header banner ads, my AVG had picked up "threats" on 4~5 occasions in the last 3 months or so. I am not the only one experiencing it. At least one other forum member also reported the same thing.

I wasn't sure what caused it, but every time AVG alerted me and said it "blocked a threat", the header banner ad wouldn't load. That's why I suspected it was some rogue ads from fidelity media.

Since it only happened so few times, I didn't do anything about it.

Then in the past one week, on two occasions my forum main page was redirected to some disgusting porn site when I simply went to see my own forum...at the same time my AVG also said it just blocked a threat.

Here is a screenshot when it happened (porn not included)

Since I am a newbie, I do not even know where to begin.
Any experts here who know about this kind of web page "hijacking"?
What can cause the forced redirect from my forum to porn site?
Do you believe it can be caused by ads from a CPM network?
Or is it possible that my site was somehow hacked?

Note that it only happened on two occasions so far, and I can't reproduce it at will. The top banner is still currently fidelity media, with amazon as backup when it is not filled.
it can be caused by ads
That doesn't help. Sad

I need advice on how to find the cause and how to fix it.
Have you taken down the ad provider for a extended amount of time to determine if it is rogue ads? Your website/forum being hacked is unlikely since it only has happened a couple times within a 3 month span.
Go into your admin panel and check the templates, specifically the header template. Look for any redirect code or iframe codes a hacker may have put there, basically anything with a domain you don't recognize.

I just went through a similar situation on my own forum last couple days and this is how they were doing it.

There's nothing in his header template. If there was, redirects would happen almost every time when visiting his forum.
