hi my forum is hosted on
www.sudusmlk.tk they are changing their domain name to
www.nration.com . from domain cpanel i can change name servers . what i want to know is when they change domain name will it change the my sql server also ? will it make my site not working after they change nameservers ? how to fix it?
you need to edit following :
Go to your MyBB admin panel and edit the configuration settings.
configuration > Settings > General configuration:
Board URL :
http://nration.com
Cookie Domain : .nration.com
Now you need to edit the same in settings.php file.
Go to your cpanel/ftp client > public_html > inc > settings.php
You have to edit the board url and cookie domain in settings.php file.
Save it, you will have a domain change

No not the url of my board . the hosting company is changin their url . what are the changes i will have to do on my name servers and sql database settings ?
Contact your host and ask them?
Your sql servers should all be relative to your URL. If you change hosts you will need to change name servers, but if the existing host is simply changing its name, they should take take of migrating all their customers.
