Along with the other themes I'm working on, which will be released in the new year, I have also been working on this new design which I call Intox-Fusion:

(this link is now old, please see edits at bottom of post) http://i.imgur.com/q0NvX.png

If you are familiar with my designs, you may know that my personal taste is somewhat outdated (in the sense that I like gloss, bright colours with gradients etc..), so the idea behind this theme was to design something which is up to date with modern trends, whilst still retaining what I like to call a "gaming" feel (I've seen lengthy debates on this forum about what a gaming skin is, I just can't think of any other way to describe it).

As always feedback is greatly appreciated!

EDIT:

Up-to-date Images:

(I didn't notice the home icon in the navigation had a messed up drop shadow for these previews, but I've fixed it)

Looks good. Smile
I like it. But the design conflicts, I thought that was a screenshot of two separate websites.
The design is seriously too busy, you need to chill out and choose a color scheme and take it easy with the drop shadows.

Agreed. The sidebar looks like a collapsible menu from an app, but it doesn't appear to be collapsible. Visually very confusing. That said, it's at least more interesting than your previous efforts.
Thanks for the feedback guys.

I've made a few updates, although nothing major yet, just touched up a few things:

The sidebar is supposed to look like a menu similar to an app, I suppose. I didn't intend for it to be collapsible, but I thought about having it fixed (would only scroll if necessary due to low resolution). I don't think it's visually confusing at all, it might be different but everything is fairly straightforward.

FMB, I tried to take into account your advice about the drop shadows, I'm not sure specifically which areas you are referring to, but I've touched up the design a bit.

As for the choosing a colour scheme, I'm not too sure what you mean by that. My colour scheme is black, white, blue and green.

Any more words on the update?
What's so important in this sidebar that it should be on the screen at all times? Seems obnoxious.
This reminds me of something Damion Yeatman from Audentio used to do. It's good, but it's just a little too cluttered IMHO, and the elements are a little too "big" for me.

What happened to him? He disappeared.
Well I shall take it as a compliment that it reminds you of his work? :p

Here is the first complete preview of the index:

It may look cluttered and busy, but it's really not, and that's the point. There is very little empty wasted space, and there is no unnecessary elements (other than the bar with "Current Time" and social links, the only reason it's there is because the space looks odd with nothing there). This is also one of the reasons many of the elements are so big, as you said Jordan.

The concept may not be to everyone's taste, but I still want to make sure the design is as tight as possible for the people who do like it, so please keep the feedback coming if you have anything to say!
