Well, on this page http://www.valvesoftware.com/email.php you can choose to contact anyone at Valve, when I type in everything, and hit send, there is no indication it was sent. It basically redirects me back at what I had typed.

Do I get some indiciation/notification it was sent?

You could email valve's support department and ask them if they got it... Oh wait... >_<

Well maybe not that but use a communication channel like the steam forum where someone is more likely to know.
