What's the best way (add-on) or other option to prevent spam, my forum keeps getting bots and bots.

That plugin keeps out all the spam from my website. Just make sure you customize the questions. :p

That plugin isn't exactly amazing. I found myself having to deal with several false reports by using that plugin.

I am very happy with that plugin - of course it does help if you tweak the settings a little and of course if your board is not very active it will give warnings for necroposting just because threads are not that active.

Stop forum spam 1.4 is a great anti spam tool to. With the added functionality in 1.4 it has become a really useful and secure method to block registrations from spammers.

Extra registration question and also instead of the default capche use recapche.

I used to have spammers register every day. Then I had my coder put a 20 second delay on the "Submit" button when registering a new account. Since spammers usually create a account in 5 seconds if they can't proceed then they must give up.
