I have noticed in the past 2 days that my forum doesn't post replies, or quick replies.

It's not just me but other users too. We can still post new threads.

I've not uploaded/upgraded any plugins in that time and I have registration set so that only members who click in via their email can get access. Also haven't had that many. So I am confident I don't have any spam accounts going on doing weird things.

I've rebuild all the cache options in the admin, and when that didn't work I upgraded from 1.6.6 to 1.6.9 to see if that solved it.

No joy.

You click on reply button and it loads up a 404 missing page from the site that the forum sits within (separate install, just at /forum)

For example

Doesn't work, the quick reply also doesn't work... the new reply is missing? I don't understand how that has happened or how to resolve it.

Any ideas about what to do?

Try re-uploading the newreply.php file from a fresh download package. if you're getting a 404 error then you likely have somehow managed to remove or rename that file.

Yea, unfortunately that hasn't made any difference.

So you're still getting a 404 error even after having made sure newreply.php is definitely there? Because I can definitely access it.

What browser are you using? Could you possibly screenshot the actual error page?

There is no screenshot to take.

If I use quickreply the page is blank (white) and the loading icon where the favicon is just spins without ever going blue (in Firefox)

When using the new reply button it just opens up the 404 error page on http://darkfloor.co.uk

I've reset the cache on my browser and tried with another browser and yet I cannot get it to work.

It's even weirder that it works, apparently fine, for you but not for me and others.

I've logged in/out, emptied cache, even logged in with the same account as you successfully replied with.

Well, that certainly is rather weird. I'm not entirely sure what might cause this at all. You say other members are having this problem too? Do you use cloudflare or anything like that at all?

So I've also have my friend check his account and he experiences the same issues as me. He is in Ireland and has also tried with the 'taurus' account details I sent to you.

Hm. I'm fairly close to Ireland (North of England) so we should be using similar routes to connect to the server. I am pretty stumped regarding this issue personally. Perhaps another support rep will be able to shed some light on the issue.
