The default myBB stars don't get used on most forums because they have spots and stuff around them when you use them with a darker BG.

I know it's not hard to replace them, but why not change the stars in 2.0

What you would see on your forum:

MyBB 1.8 uses PNG images, and thread ratings are removed in 2.0.

I'm talking about the stars you get when your a registered member. The ones that show under your username.

And the star on the right of the picture is from the latest version of myBB.

They are the same stars. Or at least, the same image. In 1.8 it won't be an issue as .png. No idea on 2.0.

They're the same images, but just in a sprite. 2.0 will use PNG images too.
