First I downloaded and installed the side box plugin and put it at 600px. Then I took a sub forum, changed the style and removed the header. Then I embedded the Blog thread and posted it in the "additional boxes" of the side-box plugin. You can edit the blog by editing the thread.

For a minute there I thought there was a Blog for MyBB, this could still prove useful but as posted above a better explanation of the process would be ideal.
