Hello

I am working on a forum for someone, the person who was working on it before me installed mybb. I am getting 404 page errors when I click on any category.

Have you renamed your htaccess.txt file to just .htaccess?

It looks like you've enabled SEO URLs in your ACP without setting up your .htaccess file.

When this happend to me it turned out to be the google SEO plugin. I deactivated the plugin and hey presto! It worked.

All the solutions described above by others are great.

After looking them all, don't forget to rebuild cache.
