Clear your browsers cache. Why do you want it in view source anyway ?

Because I want it to appear that I'm the server admin, which I am, and I would like to put that I developed the theme in the view source. Even clearing my cache, that doesn't work.
Are you using CloudFlare? I believe CF strips comments for an optional performance feature.

Only thing we would do (with Auto Minify, if turned on) would be to remove white space. Other than that, we wouldn't be stripping out content.
