Hello everyone.

So I'm getting really desperate here. Early this morning an old banned member created a fake account on my forums and porn-bombed the thing to hell. My users are getting frustrated and I don't want to have to deal with each post 1 by 1 (there are 309 of them). I've tried activating plugins on my forums such as "Goodbye Spammer" and and "Spam Central" but due to them being poorly documented I have absolutely no idea how to use them.

I've tried running queries on my SQL database that I've found online, and while PHPMyAdmin says the first time that it has deleted values, the spammer's innapropriate posts are still all there and I'm running out of options and ideas on how to delete all of his posts.

He hasn't made a single thread--he's just been posting junk in everybody's already existing threads. I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me in finding some sort of way to automatically delete this banned user's posts instead of having to go through every single one of them one by one to cleanse my site.

I cannot ban accounts anymore for some reason. Everytime I open a new page in the Admin CP it asks me to re-enter my username and password, and then, when I get to the banning menu and enter the guy's username into the banned username field, it asks me to re-enter my username/password again, and when I do, it just takes me right back to the Banning section of the Admin CP, except that now my name is filled into the text box, and if I was to hit enter again, it would ban me, instead.

Essentially, I cannot do a single thing in my Admin CP anymore because everytime I do something it asks me to enter my username and password again and then it just loops me back to the page that I was at before.

Also, when I try to ban him in his user profile, it asks me to enter my username and password and then just loops me right back to his user profile.

I can try and get one of my mods/other admins to do it, but while we're here I'd like to try and fix this second issue of mine, as well, if anyone knows how.

Thanks. I did a read through of that page but it didn't solve any of my problems. Both my cookie domain and cookie path are, according to the article, set correctly. Unless you meant to say that it was an issue with MY cookies settings, in my browser, perhaps? I will try clearing my cookies within Firefox and see if that clears up the issue.

Yeah, so I deleted all of my cookies on Firefox and that cleared the issue right up. That allowed me to ban the user and then directly after delete all of his posts and threads.
