Sorry if this is another re-post but i need your help

I had my forum hacked earlier this evening. and all users including the admin user was banned permanently from the site.

So i have re installed mybb and uploaded my most recent backup (done this morning) my sql says its there and all relevant data is showing in phpmyadmin but when i go to the site it shows nothing just the blank new mybb site page.

Any ideas on what i need to do to get the backup showing on the site???

If i run a back up from October i get errors showing:


MyBB SQL Error

MyBB has experienced an internal SQL error and cannot continue.

SQL Error:
1146 - Table 'classic_mybb421.1qr_datacache' doesn't exist
Query:
SELECT title,cache FROM 1qr_datacache

any ideas?????????

im not the most technical with computers so the simpler the answer the better guys

Now im getting the following error message:

Query:
[READ] Unable to select database

That's because you haven't selected a database. Did you create a new database in mysql databases as well as add a user to the DB with all privileges?

Also, check your config.php file and confirm the DB name and user credentials.

Thanks for your advice, but i had the hosting provider try a full restore from there backups today while i was in work and am now gettin a different error message:


MyBB SQL Error
MyBB has experienced an internal SQL error and cannot continue.
SQL Error:1045 - Access denied for user 'classic_mybb158'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
Query:[READ] Unable to connect to MySQL server
Please contact the MyBB Group  for support.

Any ideas on how to solve this issue

You need to create a MySQL user in cPanel, and give them access to the database.

Seems to be getting sorted now thanks to kamz89 & Josh H for your help couldnt of got there without your help.

Will see once it has finished whatever they are doing and report back
