Have you talked to your host? Because they're likely to assist you with this.

My host knows nothing about MyBB

Have you considered trying MyBBWebHost? They're relatively cheap and have great hosting.

... They don't need to know how MyBB's forum system works to know how to run MySQL queries to convert it into InnoDB.

Sphinx isn't needed if your server uses MySQL 5.6 (At least I don't think so, I could be wrong), it improves InnoDB by even more and supports fulltext searching.

I don't need people telling me what I need. I need someone who runs a MyBB Big Board who would like to get paid to help me out.
