Any ideas on colors, etc...or should I just leave the default colors, text, etc...

You should go with the same colors as your logo.
Maybe an orange/white, with black text.
Also, maybe a side menu for you to put information in.
Also, I think you should make the logo a little smaller, I don't like how big it is.
Maybe add a few more forums...a side menu would also be good...
The logo looks good, although personally I would have reversed the opacity gradient to blend it in with the page.
1. Nice domain
2. Place forums in root.
3. Pay me $25 to take an hour or two and make a nicer skin. (optional but advised)
