Is it possible to change the ratings text and if so where do I go to change it

i dont think it is, but if it is it is somewhere in templates i guess.

he means text... can he rename the rating text to let's say blahblah text

You mean instead of it saying 'Rating', you wants it to say something else? If so then you can either edit the language files, either the file it's self or in the ACP, or you can edit the templates.

forumdisplay:
ACP -> Language Packs -> Manage -> *Language* -> forumdisplay.lang.php -> Edit -> rating

showthread:
ACP -> Language Packs -> Manage -> *Language* -> showthread.lang.php -> Edit -> rating_average, select_rating, rating_5, rating_4, rating_3, rating_2, rating_1.
