Either contact the designer or you yourself have to edit each image in something like Photoshop or GIMP.
The text height is intentional. Since the gradient is lighter on the bottom I like to move the text up a few pixels so that it's clear. Also notice the image on the buttons are the same height. It's all intentional...thanks for all the comments though.
This is a very nice skin. But that's the only thing I don't like about it as well, the text being so high on the buttons. You can make the text stand out even on the gradient with drop shadow.
I'm partial to centered text.
