So basically I was tasked with building a new site for our paintball team and the powers at be wanted the site built and near perfect first before changing over the domain name so I built the site as shown here----> http://gator1581.hostgator.com/~dcmilsim/

Our domain name is www.dangerclosepaintball.com and now that the site is complete enough they have switched to our name servers on the new host but the issue now is that when you go to the domain it takes you there fine but once you click on any of the links it takes you within the old hostgator temp domain they use.

Now I've done a little googling because I hate it when people ask stupid questions instead of googling but everything has to do with switching over sites that arent in the root folder or something.

Obviously I go into configuration and change the domain in myBB but do I need to update it anywhere else?

What I'm trying to achieve here is so that all the cookies issued by the site work aswell as when I type in www.dangerclosepaintball.com/portal.php or whatever it takes me to that page.

Let me know if I'm not really being clear here. I'm piss poor at conveying thoughts via text. lol

PS: The site is built in the root directory of my hosting.

You need to change the bburl along with the cookie settings.
