Alright sweet we are getting somewhere. Now the only problem is that I have a goofy looking theme, and my theads and posts were brought over but it says there are 0 on a lot of my boards. Im going to try and upload a new theme.

Well I guess my install is corrupt or something because when I go to install a theme I get this error,

MyBB could not find the theme with the file you uploaded. Please check the file is the correct and is not corrupt.

I don't think it is but it could be the theme this is what I am looking at,

And I am uploading from my ACP with the import option.

You need to Recount & Rebuild the counters.

ACP > Tools & Maintenance > Recount & Rebuild > Run all the modules

Make sure ./cache/ is recursively readable and writable.

Alrigth I CHMODED the file that I was told to in the link you provided me with, but I dont have a themes folder located in chache.


Oh I found a file named themes in that direcotry my bad. But it still says in my ACP its not writable, even though its permissions are set at 777.

Actually whenever I set it to 777 then refresh the page it resets itself to 000.

Clearly there's a permissions issue somewhere.

Well all the files in there are set at 644. I set the folder itself to 777.

They are now set to 777 but still there is no luck.
