I have an icon image and i want to put it on my forums for all of them how do i do that
What icon are you referring to?
Favicon, Forum Icons, Thread Icons, etc.

Change the on.gif and off.gif icon in your image dir.
Alternately,
There could be a on.gif and off.gif in your theme's imagedir.
