Hello,

Thank you for downloading MyBB 1.7, aka 1.8 Alpha to help with testing. We have a few things we'd like you to read over first before creating a thread.

You are not supposed to create an issue on Github, you are supposed to create a thread here so we can validate it and push the issue to GitHub.

Check GitHub for issues first
Please only make one thread per issue/bug
  • We have an automatic plugin by Nathan Malcolm to push issues from here to GitHub. Please only make one thread per issue so we can push them to GitHub as separate tickets.

Please be as detailed as possible
  • Use descriptive titles such as "MySpace video MyCode no longer works" instead of "Error", "There's a bug", or other generic terms which don't describe the actual issue.
  • Please show exactly how you encountered the bug, using screenshots if possible, and please feel free to share any fixes you may have come up with too.
  • Lastly, please try to report any bugs in English. As an English community the issue will be fixed a lot faster if we're able to understand it clearly.

Thank you once again for being an alpha tester for MyBB 1.8!
So wait, if a reply is posted on a thread in this section, does that reply get posted on the ticket on Github too?
No, just the first post is pushed to GitHub.
//feedback for Nathan

As [img] tags don't work on Github, they can be stripped out during the push process. This is a great system though, good work everyone. Smile

Oh ok and what about vulnerabilities? Do we post them in the PI section or here?
Private Inquiries is best for vulnerabilities unless they are trivial.

They already are. I'm unsure why they were left, unless that itself is a bug within the way MyBB strips MyCode...
You have an issue in your post Paul:
[url]https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues]here[/url]
should be
[url=https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues]here[/url]
Been fixed by Nathan.
When do you think the final version will be out?
