I upgraded to the latest version on MyBB and I am unable to see the index.php page. Other pages are displaying correctly.

It is also not possible to register on the forum any longer.

The only change was that the PHP version has been upgraded.

This is what I currently have installed on the server:

MyBB Version 1.6.9
PHP Version 5.3.17
SQL Engine MySQL 5.5.25

Other areas such as the portal of the forum apprears to be working.

The error displaying is:

Server error
The website encountered an error while retrieving http://www.hybrid-synergy.eu/index.php. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

Here are some suggestions:

HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.

Can someone please give me some advice?

Have you checked to make sure index.php is actually present on the server?

The file definitely exists with the correct size. Permissions set to 660.

The index.php issue has been resolved.

However, I am still experiencing an issue with Registering new users.
The process appears normal until you select Agree. The following is displayed:
