The URL you entered for your avatar does not appear to be valid. Please ensure you enter a valid URL.


I get this error when I try to upload directly or when I use a hosted link like from tinypic for an avatar.

What link are you using? It could be it's not a direct link or something wrong with the link itself.

Check your Avatar settings, by default the limits are pretty low. You need to raise the file size limit up a bit, and the dimensions if you wish to allow for bigger Avatars. I think the default size is about 10kb? It's really tiny.

I've done all that and its still giving me this error.
