MyBB Community Forums

I have opted for SMF hosting from Hostpaedia but i am having some issues with SMF and the forum doesnt seems good for my use.

I am impressed with MyBB and i want to use it on my new host. i dont know the process of installation as i am not techie. Hostpaedia Guys told that they provide with Softaculous where i can instal MyBB with one click. buti dont know from where to start.

Is there any handy guide for it ?
any help will be appreciated.

I would not recommend using Softaculous. It's no easier than installing MyBB manually which in the long term is more reliable.

I would like to add in too that a lot of times the versions in Softaculous are a version or two behind the actual releases.

Simple guide

- Creat database via CPanel
- Create dbase user via cpanel
- Assign dbase user to mybb database created in step one
- Upload contents of the mybb.zip from the downloads page of mybb.com
- Go to <yoururl>/directory you uploaded to
- Follow onscreen instructions
