I use the the Automatic Subscriptions plugin. The readme instructs me to edit certain templates (e.g. usercp_options) and to add the line {$automaticsubscriptions} in the appropriate place. When I installed the plugin I followed these instructions and the plugin worked correctly.
Whenever we update MyBB the template changes are lost and I must reapply them.
However, when I change the templates and reactivate the plugin the template changes are lost again. I can't get them to stay. This happens whether the plugin is activated, deactivated, installed or uninstalled before making the changes. The file permissions as shown in ACP are correct.
What am I doing wrong?
