I'm guessing this has come up before but after doing several searches I can't find the answer.

When a title is rather long, and person tries to reply, they can't because it adds "RE:" to the beginning of the title and then tells the user the title is too long. (even though it added the "re:" itself; not the user's doing!)

What's the solution?

If adding "re:" can be disabled altogether, I'm fine with that. I don't display the titles to a reply anyway in my postbits.

I am probably wrong, but I thought this a bug that was fixed.. are you using up to date version of MyBB, which would be 1.6.9.

I'll do some more digging about this, this is not the first time I've seen this come up.

This is a proposed fix, I am guessing you are not using a up to date version of MyBB, which should have a fix in for this... again. <edit> probably best to use github code if you are up to date over this

Yeah I'm up to date with the current version and it's still an issue.
