I totally messed up my site somewhere in the ftp and the templates to the point that I really really don't know how to fix it!

I figured if I just reinstalled all the ftp files it would erase all my content on my site (posts, users, ect.) We have a development site (where I /should/ have been messing with the coding, stupid me) but is there any way to reinstall mybb and redo the entire theme and template and everyone on the developement site, and transfer all the posts from the open site onto it and then move the entirety of the development site onto the open site? Because it's the open site that's broken and we don't know how to fix it.

Unless someone is willing to help me and hold my hand through it. I am so over my head here with my site. I was messing with Jquery....well, all my problems are already posted here: http://community.mybb.com/thread-133959.html
Well templates are in the DB so reuploading the files won't fix any issues with those Toungue
You can use the Merge System to transfer posts, users etc. from MyBB install to another.
See http://docs.mybb.com/Running_the_Merge_System.html for more info on that Smile

So in your situation it's probably best to install a fresh version of MyBB then run the merge system to transfer the stuff from the existing site. Then make your changes to the templates etc. and then just move it over to the live site? Smile
Thank you so much for the reply back Big Grin I was so close to just scrapping it all (cause i could /not/ find a solution) and merging it.

However, I fixed it by deleting all my jscript files in the FTP and reinstalling them all. And doing the same with function.php.

Thanks again!
