Yeah, uh, I realise in the instructions it said not to replace config.php and settings.php, and I did.
Can I just get an outline of the files, so I know what they are? I just want to know what I can copy and paste in the PHP file, I can then manually edit the configuration.

Just do as directed to rebuild the setting in the ACP.

OK, I'm officially pissed.
The upgrade truncated my DB.
I checked in phpMyAdmin.

Nevermind, it was hacked. Crap.

Good thing the forum hadn't opened to the public yet. I'll just start with installation now, I guess.
