I started to play around today with adding a DIGG button to each thread. Let me know what you guys think. I may make a plugin for this. What it does is makes a button on the top of each thread to submit a DIGG story.

Demo: http://www.democracyforums.com

Just click into any thread and you will see the DIGG button.
AHH Wow i go on digg all the time Is is possible for me to install this on my forum ? www.space-forum.co.uk
Yeah if I make this into a mod. However your site activity is really low...so I am not sure if Digg will flag you as a spammer. I know they will flag those who scheme to digg stories and close the accounts.
Very cool. I thought Digg was tech-focused, though.
There is a fairly wide range of topics covered at DIGG.

Here is the list. If I do this as a plugin I would allow for the topic to be set inside admincp. Also I would allow for only certain forums to be excluded or do you think inclusion is better?

Well, if that's the case, I'd love to use it. Wink
I would also love to add this to my site. Wink My site is somewhat active: http://forumz.coolestech.com Almost 1800 threads, so, it might not be tagged as spam.
Well here is a very rough idea of how to do it. (Please note I am not going to support this, all this is is a quick mod that I made in 3 minutes)

In showthread find

{$newreply}{$newthread}

and replace it with

{$newreply}{$newthread}<a href="http://digg.com/submit?phase=2&url={$mybb->settings['bburl']}/showthread.php?tid={$tid}&title={$thread['subject']}&topic=music">Digg This Thread</a>

Just replace the forum URL with your and the subject with your subject.

All credit goes to labrocca
www.freerockforums.com should be changed to {$mybb->settings['bburl']} =)
Well that works too! Thanks, I just thought they would manually edit it.
