I am sticking with MyBB, however a friend needs advice with phpBB. I am sure he would be greatful for any help.

If you happen to know of a forum like that I'd appreciate a link. I just think coders for MyBB are more versed in other platforms, than the alternative.
PHPBB has its own support forum.
