Hi

In trying to upload an avatar on the forum the user seems to get an error saying "Invalid file type. An uploaded avatar must be in GIF, JPEG, or PNG format." etc.

Have checked CHMOD on uploads and uplaods/avatars is both 777

In the admin CP the settings in "User Registration and Profile Options " are:

Avatar Directory: images/avatars
Avatar Upload Path: ./uploads/avatars
Max Uploaded Avatar Size: 40
Maximum Avatar Dimensions: 100x100

Any pointers to what could be causing this issue?

What's the format of the picture you would like to upload?
Are you sure this pic use the right format?
Please check the filesize of your picture, too.

We are still having this problem too with the latest version of MyBB!

But it is with trying to upload a avatar from my computer!

Is there a bug or what?

Do we have settings off in the ACP and on our server directory?

Please help!

The avatar I'm trying to upload is the one I just uploaded on this forum!

Someone else told me the permissions in the server may not be set right too!

Did you look at the screenshot of our settings, are the paths set right there?

PS: I don't run the server so I can't run your test.
