How do you think I should go about changing the border of the numbers?

Are you asking where to change that border?

Admin CP -> Templates & Style -> Themes -> *your theme* -> global.css -> Edit Stylesheet: Advanced Mode

Edit the border code of:

.pagination a
.pagination .pagination_current
.pagination a:hover
