okay guys. i've got a major issue with my avatar system. the only way anyone can upload one, is through the admin cp.

when we try a url? we get this error:
The URL you entered for your avatar does not appear to be valid. Please ensure you enter a valid URL. with a link

a file?: Please correct the following errors before continuing:The file upload failed. Please choose a valid file and try again.

it doesn't matter what type of file it is. the CHOM files are 0777. i don't know what the problem is. :c

Are you on shared hosting? If so, you might be under a SuPHP environment. 0755 would be the correct permissions if that's the case. Also, make sure the avatar links are a direct link to the image.

shared hosting is a yes. should all of the files be 0755? what specific ones, if not?

If it's on a SuPHP environment then all files at 644 and folders at 755.

All files and folders are set, and it still wont work. :c
