I'm search for some support and see this area.  ...I guess PM's are
maybe insignificant to most.

Well, I have a site (customer) that really depends on the PM system
and I suggested using MyBB, HOWEVER we can't seem to get the PM
function to work.

-checked all settings in Admin; normal emails function fine; but when
a PM is sent it never arrives. We have tested on 4 emails.
-version 1.2

Any suggestions? Quite urgent actually.

mmm, I will reply to myself.

My assistant just realized we were expecting the PM to go to email.
...not stay within the Forum system. (actually we know better)

Yeh, PM's arn't emails You can however still email members: member.php?action=emailuser&uid=someuidhere

Each user has the option of having an email notification once a private message has been received. (It's in User CP --> Edit Options)

Alternatively, there is a parallel "Send email to user" link in each user's profile which users can use to send email directly to the user (if the recipient user has enabled his or her email to be shown)
