Hello,

I am new to mybb, and was wondering during the installation process, should I use the same username and password and etc that I use for for my hosting service? Is this changeable later on?

I might have someone install mybb for me so that's why I am asking.

You mean the same ones you use somewhere else?

Ideally, you should never do that. Especially with powerful/important accounts.

is this so hackers do not get into everything that you have?

btw.. what should the mysql database name be? SHould it be something easy like mybb... or something difficult like m4y67b4b3b5

Exactly. If they do compromise one of your sets of credentials, hopefully the harm they can cause is isolated.

The database name probably isn't your biggest concern. If they get DB user credentials, it won't matter then.
